My last day before back to work, cooking, and cleaning resumes. So made the most of it and made made these. I find decorating sugar cookies are so fun and really gets the creativity flowing!!

Sugar Cookie Adventure
I have been following several blogs that make gorgeous sugar cookies!! Took some time off from work, cooking, and cleaning to try my hand at finding the perfect sugar cookie and royal icing recipe. Aaaand I think I have it! I have a lot of practicing to do but here are some pics of me trying to get the hang of the basic decorating skills.

Sugar Cookie - Onsie
For a baby shower, tried my hand to make some sugar cookie onsies! It was kinda a disaster....LOL However, was able to make a handful that looked pretty good! I need tons of practice but having fun along the way!

I have discovered digi stamps!!! These are great because you don't have to leave the house to buy them! There are several sites out there with super cute digi stamps. The one I'm using here is from http://www.tiddlyinks.com/ Wryn - Close to My Heart. Colored the stamp with Copic markers.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
Preheat oven 350 degrees
In a bowl sift flour, baking soda, and salt and put aside
In a mixing bowl blend butter, sugars, and vanilla until creamy
Add eggs one at a time and blend well
Gradually add the flour mixture
Add the chocolate and peanut butter chips
Bake for 9 minutes
Let cookies cool and grab some milk! :)

For Madison's 3rd Birthday
Had the honor of making cupcakes & cookies for Madison who loves pink, purple, and being a princess!!
I was right there with Madison when I was her age. I loved pink and purple so much one school year when we went clothes shopping, my parents told me no more pink and purple clothes! I remember being so devastated!
